Navratri Special: Go bold, bright & beautiful
The festival of Navratri has already begun which embarks the commencement of Indian festive season. It’s time to upgrade your wardrobe with those amazing traditional dresses as you hop on to exciting Dandiya Nights or Durga Puja celebrations.
So, here are a few tips that you can follow to grab the eyes balls & out stand the ethnic look like never before:
Accessorize Smartly
A statement accessory is enough to elevate the simplest of outfits. It’s a good idea to invest on chokers and you may layer them at varied lengths, since they are quite popular now days! Go for simple, elegant yet impactful bracelets, anklets and earrings that match your outfits.
TIP: If you have a plain outfit, accessorize heavily; and if you are wearing a heavy outfit, keep the jewellery minimal. This would save your extra bucks & help you avoid many fashion disasters!
Beauty Tips
Navratri is the festival to look your chicest self. However, frequent trips to the salon can become unreasonably expensive. This is the right time to dig into some DIYs or home remedies in order to keep your face glowing throughout the nine-day festival. For starters, honey and lemon work well as a natural bleacher while oats can be used for a quick scrub. Invest in good quality, waterproof eye makeup. If your eye makeup is on point, you can naturally pull the overall look together. Add bright lips to that and you’re ready to go!
Mix and Match
For her: Get a black or a traditional kutchhi work blouse. Pair it up with different coloured lehengas & dupattas.
TIP: Only one bright colour is required to maintain the balance- can be either in your lehenga or choli or dupatta.
For him: Invest in a beige/off white and a black dhoti/churidar. Team it with bright kurtas and on some days add a Koti or a Nehru jacket to enhance the overall look.
TIP: Keep one or two colourful dupattas handy that can be draped around your neck.
Perfect Hairstyle
A good hairstyle plays an important role here, so make sure you don’t forget to attempt some cute & clean hairdos. Try fish-tail braids, vintage curls, or a bun with a pouf.
TIP: If you are really experimental, then you can even add colours to your hair! Highlights or temporary colour sprays can work wonders.
Have loads of fun this Navratri & do share your experiences with us!
