LeEco Super3 X65: The Super Flagship by LeEco!

By on August 9, 2016

While LG, Panasonic, Samsung, and Sony TVs have consistently dominated the smart TV segment for years, the Chinese smartphone maker and technology conglomerate LeEco Super3 X65 is all set to break the records with their Super3 Series of smart TVs which were launched on 4th August, in India.

Three models of the series are being made available in the country, a 55-inch Super3 X55, a 65-inch Super3 X65, and the 65-inch flagship model-LeEco Super3 Max65. All three offer 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160) resolutions, while only the flagship model supports 3D 4K and comes with 3D glasses.

The 65-inch LeEco Super3 X65 has been priced at Rs. 99,790. All three televisions will be sold via the company’s LeMall (Company’s own e-commerce marketplace), as well as Flipkart during the pre-sale from August 10 to August 12.

The screen size of the TV is 64.53-inch (3840 x 2160 pixels) which sports a 4K panel with 178-degree viewing angle with a 4000: 1 contrast ratio. Also, the TV has a full metal surface which gives it a Premium look. The TV runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system and is powered by 1.7GHz quad-core 32-bit Cortex-A17 CPU with Mali-T760 MP4 GPU. It comes with 3GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB internal memory for storing useful data. As far as audio is concerned, the TVs offer 2.1 stereo speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS support. The best part about the TV is that it supports HEVC/x265 hardware video decoding, up to 4K at 60fps. It is truly an amazing feature because most of the  smart TVs today don’t support HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding) which is a new video codec launched in recently and supports equivalent video quality in less size. The televisions also come with a Super Remote Control 3.0, which has four-direction navigation buttons, and can also be used as an air mouse or game-pad to control multiple devices connected to the Super TV. The TV runs on EUI 5.5 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop for better UI.

While that was all about hardware, the software side of LeEco televisions launched in India, have come preloaded with the company’s own content-viewing apps, such as Le Vidi, Le Live, LeView along with other tailor-made apps like Panosearch. LeEco also says that this will allow the users to access roughly 2,000 films from Hollywood and Bollywood, more than 100 satellite TV channels, 3.5 million songs (which will come soon via a software upgrade), and more than 50 live concerts. Also, the company offers 2 years of warranty which is a major benefit as other competitors offer only 1 year of warranty.

Hands on experience with x65 model.

While the TV is equipped with premium features and best apps, we just hope that the TV fares well in the market.
