There is no doubt that India is the next big stop for every mobile company. Every day we see more competitors coming up, as time passes. LeEco is one of those tech giant. They had recently organized an event at Imperial Hotel, New Delhi on 30th August 2016.

The event was organized to celebrate the crossing of 1 million superphone sale milestone in India within 8 months and also, for the official announcement of launching their first local manufacturing unit in Greater Noida under Make In India initiative. This will surely help the company to earn more profit, moreover, it will also help the government in increasing employment. The facility has been set up with a significant investment of 5 million USD and a further 2 million USD has been earmarked for the automation process.

The ceremonial lamp lighting to signify the official launch of plant operations was commenced by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology and Law & Justice, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad in the presence of Atul Jain, CEO of Smart Electronics Business for LeEco India. At the Inauguration, the minister informed the audience about the campaign and its association with LeEco India stating how it can help in the growth of electronics market. He also said that by the next year 1000s of engineers are expected to be added to the plan.

Most of it was explained by Atul Jain. Based in Greater Noida, the facility is spread over an area of 200,000 sq. feet and can produce approximately 60,000 phones per month initially and rapidly ramp up the production around 200,000 Superphones per month by the end of 2016. This facility will ensure that the users get the same quality of products manufactured locally at a better price. He also said that this is just the beginning and they have the vision to make India export hub of LeEco for the world.

The company till now has launched five Superphones, a LeEco membership of content and internet services, an e-commerce platform ‘LeMall’ and most recently its SuperTVs – the Super3 Series. They all were displayed beautifully at the display counter. The Superphones have already made an enormous mark in the market. The 1 million milestone proves that they are really growing. To celebrate this occasion, LeEco offered ‘Le Million Joy’ package for Indian users from August 30 to September 1st, available both on LeMall and Flipkart.

It seems like Make In India initiative is working. Now let’s just wait and see the outcome of all the manufacturing firms adjoining it.
