The “Earth Song” collection by Anita Dongre showcased in Autumn Winter on the second day of Amazon India Fashion Week 2016 was undoubtedly the most stunning, brilliant means and technique to prove that sustainable can truly be trendy and fashionable. With the pinch of natural touch in the collection, it made people relive those peaceful and tranquil moments when the falling leaves and the fresh smell of pine-dotted the mother earth! All the models walked the runway with so much ease and grace while carrying the dresses and nailed it.

In a reflection of shades of autumn, the colour palette contains cream, pearl, fawn, granite, black, and pure white blends with an array of indigos. Block prints i.e. an old technique in aesthetic contemporary wonders, reinvented. Along with the flavour of Kantha and rustic metallic highlights, layered artfully and mounted on a canvas of avant-garde tales. Imprints of Dabbu, Bagru and Arjak resounded with the melodies of nature. Weaves from bhujodi and Bhagalpur, hand tied bandhani and Shibori lent their tune from well-loved artisans across India.
