14 shortlisted faces to take the ramp by storm this season at AIFW 16

New Delhi, February 1, 2016:  Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) conducted female model auditions #GETNOTICED, after a nation-wide hunt, which was a resounding success, for the upcoming 27th edition of the Amazon India Fashion Week in association with Maybelline New York Autumn-Winter 2016. The event will be held from March 16 -20, in the capital.

The latest edition of Asia’s most vibrant fashion and trade event will be held ata sparkling new venue, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road, which will boast of some interesting additions.

An eminent jury comprising celebrateddesigners NamarataJoshipura, Nainika Karan, Gauri Karan and Rina Dhakaas well as choreographer Aparna Behlshortlisted 14 beautiful faces,who will be the shining stars of tomorrow. These shortlisted models will add pizzazz on theAmazon India Fashion WeekAutumn Winter 2016 catwalk. Models were evaluated on poise, self-confidence, attitude, elegance and a winning personality.

Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, “The auditions for AIFW 16 saw interesting faces being selected from a sea of aspiring models. There were more than 110 models who came for the auditions. FDCI has always attempted to select not just pretty faces, but ramp-scorchers,who have an innate ability to connect with the audience, which reflects in their demeanour as they get set to take the catwalk by storm.”
